Product Management & Strategy

As part of my role at WebFX, I develop and evaluate product improvement ideas for our department based on team resources and the expected impact of the update. In this role I do the following:

  • Create and review product update specifications
  • Test the updates on our staging sites
  • Develop team technical documentation
  • Coordinate team and client launch resources
  • Schedule and announce launches
  • Monitor launches and report back on the impact

I work with our Tech Enablement and R&D teams on a daily basis to make our products the best they can be for account managers, copywriters, editors, designers, freelancers, and clients.

In this role, I’ve done the following:

  • Successfully launched over 50 new products to our team and clients, generating $2 million dollars + in revenue.
  • Lead the implementation of bulk requesting in our request form to reduce time spent on requests, saving the company $500,000 annually.
  • Integrated an external time tracking tool with our internal reporting to track the copywriting efforts of our newly-launched expert copywriting team. With experts billing from $100-500/hour, this is projected to save the company upwards of $500,000 by correctly reporting the time a team member spends on copy.
  • Facilitated the development of a pop-up notice feature to improve communication of content deadlines to team members. This is expected to save both teams, and the Project Management team about 10 hours a week, an improvement worth $250,000 in a year.
  • Split grouped requests into single requests, saving Project Managers 3~ hours a week, an improvement worth roughly $75,000 in terms of company time over the course of a year.
